About Peter Michael Winery

Appropriately enough, Sir Peter Michael, an Englishman who made his name in electronics, established his vineyard in Sonoma County's Knights Valley. From the moment he purchased the property in 1982, Sir Michael has insisted upon an Old-World approach to New World wine. Terroir is paramount here, along with elegance in favor of overstatement.

Bright ruby.  Higher pitched than the Pavots, displaying intense redcurrant and pomegranate scents and suave floral and spice nuances.  Tangy and focused, offering tightly wound red berry flavors and a deeper note of bitter cherry on the back half.  The spicy finish features very good tangy cut.  Give this a little air.
