Gave some of this to my Francophile wine friend. Now he's on board for anything I get from Stolpman. Was this as good as the best Sancerre? No, but it was as good as most Sancerre and reflected its California roots.
This calcareous S.B. ROCKS!

Pure fruit on the rocks. Balanced from nose to palate, with a silky mouthfeel and finishing acidity. Stylistically speaking, unmistakably Stolpman-oh yeah....

Darn Near The Best California Chardonnay

This has to be very nearly the best chardonnay from California I have EVER had! In a word, DELICIOUS!
Also, your new Cold Case shipping carton is outstanding & unequalled. When this shipment arrived in Illinois, I measured the temperature of the bottles using a laser temp gage &. and they registered 65 degrees. This on a day when it was 90 degrees outside and who knows how hot inside the UPS delivery truck! Great carton design, congratulations!

Closer to 3 1/2 stars but a very nice Sauvignon. Excellent fruit and superb balance. Perfect acid level
and nice length. Would buy by the case at $2-$3 less per bottle but still recommended.

Translucent straw, passion fruit and grapefruit nose, BIG lemon and grapefruit, metallic minerality with hints of thyme. Finish was short with tart, acidic tannins, white flowers and white pear. Great with a chicken dish, but standalone a petulant youth.
