($35) Pale straw-yellow. Varietally accurate aromas of green apple, white flowers, and beeswax are complicated by hints of mint and gin. Then big, dense and fleshy, with a luscious mouthfeel to the white fruit and herbal flavors. Finishes long and satisfying, but doesn't have quite the complexity for an outstanding rating. Still, this is an excellent example of pinot bianco, a variety that does very well in Italy when it's not overoaked.
