92 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2012

(half of this fruit came from the James Berry vineyard and the other half from the Brosseau vineyard in Chalone; raised entirely in concrete eggs):  Light gold.  High-pitched aromas of lemon curd, green apple and anise, with a chalky mineral overtone.  Dry and taut on the palate, offering fresh citrus fruit and floral flavors and a touch of iodine.  Clings impressively on the finish, leaving a touch of anise behind.
