(100% garnacha):  Glass-staining ruby.  Hypnotic red berry preserve and cherry-vanilla aromas are complicated by coconut, pipe tobacco and potpourri.  Fleshy, palate-coating raspberry and cherry compote flavors deliver solid punch and pick up exotic floral pastille and smoky oak spice nuances with air.  The long, sweet, expanding finish repeats the deep red fruit note and leaves dusty minerals and spices behind.  This is pretty enthralling right now but has the depth and balance to age effortlessly.  I wish that the retail price was a typo.
