More About This Wine

(40% carinena, 40% garnacha and 20% syrah): Vivid ruby. Fresh red berries and cherry on the nose, with complicating notes of dried flowers, minerals and licorice. Juicy, fresh red berry and bitter cherry flavors are framed by silky tannins and lifted by zesty minerality. The floral and mineral notes resonate on the long, gently sweet, vibrant finish. There are plenty of pricey Priorats that can't match this wine's intensity and complexity.

This wine is fresh and lively with a ton of sweet fruit up front. Flavors of cherry and dark plum came through. A very light tannin finish, which was slightly out of balance to me, hence the reason for only 4 stars. Still there was enough going on that this coasted along to an easy for stars. At $12-15/bottle this is a steal.
