(blended with 13% petite sirah):  Glass-staining purple.  Exotic, expansive aromas of boysenberry and candied plum, with pungent herb and dried violet nuances adding complexity.  Very rich but lively on the palate, offering sappy dark berry preserve flavors and subtle smokiness.  Shows very good structure but no hard edges and finishes broad and plush.
