(includes 17% petit verdot):  Dark purple.  Aromas of cherry compote, cassis and pipe tobacco, with bright mineral and spice notes gaining strength with air.  Sappy, alluringly sweet dark fruit flavors show a seamless texture and excellent clarity.  Suave, harmonious tannins add shape and gentle grip to the very long, focused, refreshingly bitter finish.
