Inky ruby.  Heady aromas of cassis, candied licorice and violet, with a sexy floral nuance building with air.  Dense, sappy and youthful, with a velvety texture and intense black and blue fruit flavors.  For a rich wine this is almost shockingly lithe.  The very long, palate-staining finish features smooth tannins, sneaky minerality and lingering spiciness.
