90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2011

Saturated ruby.  Varietally accurate aromas of dark berries, cherry pit, violet and cracked pepper, with a suave spicy quality building with air.  Juicy and precise, with sweet red and dark berry flavors and floral pastille nuances.  Quite open-knit today:  leads with its fruit and finishes smooth, smoky and nicely persistent.
