(barrel-fermented in older barriques): Green-gold. High-pitched aromas of lime, lemongrass and chalky minerals. Bright, racy and precise, showing concentrated, strikingly vivid citrus fruit and floral flavors and a hint of iodine. Lingers with impressive tenacity, leaving mineral, spice and jasmine notes behind. Guthrie told me that this wine, which is sourced from limestone-rich soil, clocks in at a very low 3.18 pH.
