(blended with 3% cabernet franc and 2% petit verdot; includes another 1.3 acres of younger vines planted uphill from the original parcel): Bright ruby-red. Musky aromas of black raspberry, plum, minerals, tobacco and mocha. Sweet, dense and extremely fine-grained, with intense black raspberry, cassis and mocha flavors conveying an elegant, understated personality. Finishes with a serious tannic spine that should support long aging. Impeccably balanced cabernet.
