(40% grenache, 39% syrah and 21% mourvedre):  Bright purple.  A hugely aromatic bouquet evokes dark berry preserves, incense and violet, with a minerally topnote.  Deeply pitched, pure dark berry flavors are lifted by juicy acidity and pick up smoke and cracked pepper nuances with air.  Shows impressive energy on the clinging finish.
