90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2011

Inky purple.  Powerful aromas of black and blue fruits and Indian spices, with accents of musky herbs and dried flowers.  Ripe and velvety in texture, with palate-coating blackberry and boysenberry flavors and building spiciness.  A weighty, distinctly rich wine but not especially fat, finishing with slight jamminess and a lingering note of anise.
