(includes fruit from Bric del Fiasc and Vignolo): Medium red. Very pure aromas of cherry, licorice and violet. Tart-edged, juicy and medicinal; pure, leanish, cooler-vintage dolcetto offering a nice combination of fruit and minerality. A tad dry on the back. (My sample of the 2010 Barbera d'Alba was drier on the finish, with a slightly nutty quality.)
