More About This Wine
About Domaine Francois Raveneau
Named for its original proprietor, who, sadly, left us in 2000, Domaine Francois Raveneau is a goliath in Chablis. Raveneau's two sons, Bernard & Jean-Marc, now continue the family tradition, maintaining a commitment to natural wine.
2010 Domaine Francois Raveneau Chablis Blanchots
Producer: Domaine Francois Raveneau
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
92-94 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2011
Pale yellow with greenish highlights. Slightly high-toned aromas of white peach, lime and white flowers. Round and ripe yet incisive, with juicy lime and green tropical fruit notes. Finishes long, dry and penetrating. Very young wine, in fact a bit hard-edged today, and in need of cellaring. (Of course, these 2010 crus will get nearly another year of elevage before they're bottled.)
