About Domaine William Fevre
Fevre was once good. Now it's great. In fact, the improvement of this house is one of the most exciting developments in Chablis in the past 20 years. The ownership of the Henriot family of Champagne, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune, has resulted in a striking transformation.
2010 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Les Lys
Producer: Domaine William Fevre
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
91(+?)? Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
Pale, bright green-yellow. The most exotic of these 2010s to this point, offering aromas of fresh apricot, creamy brioche and wild herbs. Fat, ripe and sweet in the mouth, offering palate-staining citrus and mineral flavors but a bit less energy than the Vaillons. Most impressive on the sweet, fruity aftertaste today, which shows a strong mineral edge and a hint of herbs. Seguier actually prefers this wine today but says the Vaillons will be better in the long run.
