About Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils
The year 2002 marked a new start here. The Moreau family regained control of their estate vineyards, which had been out of their since 1985. Since then, Christian Moreau and his son Fabien have been producing richly flavored yet precise examples of Chablis.
2010 Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils Chablis Vaudesir
Producer: Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
92 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
Pale bright yellow. Cool, high-pitched aromas of lime blossom, mint, crushed stone and white pepper, complicated by musky quinine. Concentrated, fresh and fine-grained, at once penetrating and youthfully tight, with intense citrus peel, mineral and white pepper flavors carrying through to the brisk, very long finish. This really leaves the taste buds vibrating. According to Moreau, this grand cru went through its alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in barrel, none new, then went into tank. A terrific performance for these young vines.
