Pale bright yellow.  A hint of nuts on the reduced nose.  Rather ungiving and quite dry on the palate, with ripe apple and gingery spice flavors dominating.  I wanted a bit more fresh fruit.  This very tight wine needs more give.  Production was just a barrel and half in 2010, compared to two and a half in 2011, said Moreau, who noted that the wine was always reductive and got an extra racking after the malo.
