(30% new oak):  Bright ruby-red.  High-pitched aromas of candied cherry, lavender, spicecake and black tea, with a hint of vanilla adding depth.  Juicy, precise cherry and black raspberry flavors take on weight with air and show excellent vivacity.  Powerful but lithe pinot with strong finishing thrust and lingering spiciness.
