2009 Owen Roe Pinot Noir The Kilmore Yamhill-Carlton District
Producer: Owen Roe
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Pinot Noir
Origin: Oregon
Region: Willamette Valley
90 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2011
Vivid ruby. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes blackberry and cherry-cola, spicecake and potpourri, plus a smoky note in the background. Lush and creamy on the palate, offering intense red and dark berry flavors and notes of candied flowers and baking spices. Finishes on a warm note (this is 15.1% alcohol), with serious punch and length. Not for the faint-hearted but fans of full-throttle New World pinot will love it.
