Pale yellow.  Pungent, high-pitched aromas of candied orange and pear, with a spicy nuance and a touch of anise.  Picks up smokiness with air, which adds depth to the zesty citrus flavors.  Shows good energy on the taut, focused finish.  I like this wine's vivacity and imagine that it will be even better in a couple of years.  It carries a low pH of 3.19 and saw no new oak.
