Bright ruby-red.  Deeper in pitch and more intense than the Makepeace, offering black raspberry and cherry aromas and notes of Indian spices and dried rose.  Sappy and expansive, with very good clarity and thrust to its sweet red and dark berry flavors.  Finishes on a gently smoky note, with lingering spice and bitter cherry notes.  I really like this wine's blend of depth and vibrancy.
