Light yellow. Reticent, reductive nose hints at lemon and green apple. Supple and sweet on the attack, but then a bit closed and hollow in the middle and displaying an herbal edge, with the dusty lemony acidity giving this sauvignon blanc an austere character; needs air. This Sancerre, from a vintage that I admire, is not quite showing the youthful zest that I remember or the complexity of age.
