88? Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2011

($40) Bright golden-yellow. Exotic aromas of ripe mango, grapefruit, lichee, and honeyed pineapple, with a hint of rose water. Full-bodied in the mouth, with tropical fruits framed by decent acidity; offers attractive sweetness but only moderate intensity and complexity of flavor for what is often Italy's best gew u rztraminer. I was a little disappointed by this wine, but I may have caught it at an awkward stage.
