($25) Medium-full straw-yellow with golden highlights. Nuanced nose offers stone fruits, pear and nutmeg, plus a hint of peach pit and strong minerality. Sweet, silky and suave but with good grip and lift to the flavors of white peach, nectarine, sweet spices and coconut. Offers very good clarity and depth, not to mention freshness, and finishes long and full, with a firm, mineral-driven structure. This outstanding malvasia leaves behind a hint of residual sugar, which contributes to its rich, round mouthfeel. One of owner Giorgio Badin's best-ever white wines; this will age well too. I'm going to keep a bottle around for five or six years and see how it develops.
