About Jean-Marc & Hugues Pavelot
Jean-Marc Pavelot, now joined by his son Hughes, maintains what is arguably the top estate in the underappreciated village of Savigny-lès-Beaune...
89-92 Points | International Wine Cellar , January 2012
Good red-ruby. Higher-pitched aromas of blackberry, licorice and minerals. Juicy and imploded, with its density leavened by strong minerality. Showing little in the way of easy sweetness today, but this serious, ripely tannic Savigny spreads out to saturate the palate. Finishes with lingering notes of roast coffee and bitter chocolate.
