(bottled in April; 20% new oak): Reticent aromas of orange oil and vanillin oak. More minerally than the foregoing samples, with vibrant soft citrus, stone fruit and vanillin oak flavors energized by crushed stone. Wonderfully intense and light on its feet. Finishes with palate-saturating saline minerality and terrific persistence. Lafon told me that this was a great harvest for this holding, which is always easier to pick in the relatively late years.
