About Domaine Robert Chevillon
For the longest time, the Chevillons were the equivalent of sharecroppers, farming vines they didn't own and selling the fruit to local négociants. Today, Domaine Robert Chevillon is one of the top two producers in Nuits-Saint-Georges, along with Henri Gouges.
92-95 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January 2012
Good fresh dark red. Complex, soil-driven aromas and flavors of cassis, blackberry and smoky minerality. Rich, broad and dense; really spreads out horizontally to cover the palate. Wonderfully nuanced, layered wine with no hard edges. Ripe tannins saturate the mouth on the unflagging finish. This should be explosive with several years of bottle aging.
