About Bouchard Pere et Fils
Maison Bouchard Pére et Fils was founded in 1731 by a cloth merchant from Dauphine named Michel Bouchard. By the end of his life, he had assembled the négociant operation which would grow into what is today the largest owner of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte d'Or.
89 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2012
Good pale, bright yellow. Aromas of lemon cream, vanilla and truffle. Supple, creamy and approachable, if a bit lacking in energy following the 2011 Corton-Charlemagne in my tasting. Nicely concentrated wine with adequate acidity and complicating notes of spice, resin and honey.
