90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2011

Glass-staining ruby.  Pungent, oak-spiced aromas of black and blue fruits, licorice and cocoa.  Plush, palate-coating dark berry flavors show liqueur-like depth and pick up spicecake, bitter chocolate and vanilla qualities with air.  Smooth and seamless on the finish, which features notes of vanilla and candied violet.  Nothing shy about this big boy, which clocks in at 15.5% alcohol.
