90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2011

(90% garnacha and 10% cabernet sauvignon):  Ruby-red.  High-pitched aromas of red berry preserves, candied rose and minerals, with a suave mocha note that gains strength with aeration.  Lush and creamy, with slightly jammy black raspberry and cherry flavors betraying a hint of back-end heat (this is packing 15% alcohol).  Finishes with serious breadth and cling, strongly echoing the berry note.  Open-knit and seamless, with surprising vivacity for such a rich wine.
