Medium red.  Sappy aromas of red cherry, raspberry and spices are lifted by a violet topnote.  Firm and tangy, with vibrant acidity giving energy and grip to the spicy, savory mid-palate.  Not yet pliant but brisk and long for a pinot in this price range.  With its firm tannins, this should really bite into fatty meats and charcuterie.
