Dark purple.  Fragrant, complex scents of dark berry preserves, olive tapenade, violet and star anise, with slow-building florality.  Juicy and precise, showing very good depth to its energetic blackberry and bitter cherry flavors.  A deeper note of licorice comes up on the finish, which clings with impressive tenacity.  By all means decant this if you insist on opening it now.
