Three Cheers for Three Wine Company

I forgot I'd ordered this until I recieved the shipping notice. One sip had me thinking, "Why did I only buy six bottles?" The wine stands up to its amazing story.
An excellent "sleeper"

This is an intensely colored wine, with a full bouquet and broad palette of flavors. I was expecting something zinfandel like but it falls into a food paring niche between zin and cabernet. It did very well with the acidity of a tomato based Italian meal but was even better with a honey tomato glazed lamb roast and also with a wine marinated steak. On its own I would rate it a 4 but the flexibility of food pairings takes it up a notch for me.
Great value

Bountiful berry in the glass and jammy on the palate and then your rewarded with pleasant heat on the finish

Good varietal character. Seemed to add weight and concentration in the glass. Best sip was the last, always a good sign.

probably a 4+ but fairly new to this site. Agree with comment of versatility. Did very well with NY strip and great with porcini mushroom chicken breast second night. Great color. Nose fruity and floral.
Not sure yet

I waited a couple of weeks to open one of these. I think this needs some more time in bottle (2+ years) before its real nature is known. Right now, while there are some really promising aspects, it is too locked up to make a real assessment. (This system requires a star rating - I'd really like to pass, but I've given it 4 stars on promise, not current status.)

Three Does it Again!

Another gem from Three. I totally agree with a previous review that this wine is a veritable bargain at $21 for 6 bottles. I have loved every bottle of wine I have received from Three. Their wine has been the best value so far from Wine Access and that's saying a lot. All I can say is Matt Cline rocks!
Not what I expected

OK, but unremarkable wine. Needs at least 2 hours of breathing, which opens up the wine a bit, but still just an "OK" wine.
