Expert Reviews

87 Points | International Wine Cellar , November/December 2011

High-pitched aromas of black cherry, mint and graphite, complicated by violet and herbal elements.  Juicy and slim, with strong acidity giving cut to the middle palate.  Finishes brisk but lean, even a bit tart, with a note of licorice.  "August of 2010 was too hot for dolcetto," noted Silvano Pasquero-Elia.  "In hot conditions, the dolcetto loses its energy, the leaves turn brown and the maturation stops."
