About Ramey Wine Cellars
With the help of his wife, David Ramey founded Ramey Wine Cellars in 1996. He has succeeded in sourcing fruit from top Napa and Sonoma vineyards, producing remarkable Chardonnays that bridge the gap between California lushness and Burgundian minerality and structure.
2009 Ramey Wine Cellars Chardonnay Russian River Valley (half bottle)
Producer: Ramey Wine Cellars
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: California
Region: Sonoma
91 Points | International Wine Cellar , May/June 2012
Bright gold. Deeper, richer and more powerful than the Sonoma Coast bottling, offering aromas and flavors of poached pear, papaya, orange zest and smoky minerals. Juicy, palate-coating orchard fruit and floral flavors are lifted by juicy acidity and sharpened by a gingery nuance. Shows very good energy and clarity on the tangy, focused, very long finish.
