(from basalt-rich soil that's older than Slide Mountain Vineyard): Good full bright ruby. Very ripe aromas of black cherry and dark chocolate. Sweet broad and chocolatey on the palate; a bit less perfumed and sappy than the Slide Mountain Vineyard example and perhaps a little more high-toned. Finishes chocolatey, sweet and long, with substantial ripe tannins.
