Better than Veuve
Really delicious. Excellent value, too.
Wonderful summer bubbly
Same as prior years- great to start before a meal or early in the day. Luscious.
Great wine! Citrus and green apple on the nose with a wonderful creamy finish on the palate!

Worthy alternative to Champagne
I was excited to try this right after taking delivery; Alsace is one of our favourite regions for versatile food-friendly wines and I am always interested in good alternatives to Champagne. The wine pours with an energetic effervescence, a thick crema of small bubbles that dissipates fairly rapidly, pale straw color, toasty aroma quite attractive, on the palate notably dry, minerality, faint citrus, some nuanced biscuity notes, some length. Conclude: a welcome and good-value alternative to the lesser notes of Champagne.
Alsace has been almost pathologically ignored by the American wine-drinking public for generations--a real mystery in light of the great number of juicy, pure wines produced in this picture-postcard region of northeastern France.
