About Bonny Doon Vineyard

Iconoclast Randall Grahm made his name as one of the original Rhône Rangers in California. When he purchased land in the Santa Cruz Mountains in the early ‘80s his dream was actually to develop great American Pinot Noir. This feat temporarily eluded him, but what he developed was a knack for lesser-grown, Mediterranean varieties.

Bright violet color.  Black raspberry and cherry aromas are lifted by a note of peppery spice.  A touch jammy, but the lively red and dark berry flavors display good clarity.  A refreshingly bitter note of licorice comes up on the finish, which clings with very good tenacity.  This wine is ridiculously easy to drink.
