(65% syrah, 25% grenache and 10% mourvedre): Bright ruby-red. Lively floral and red berry aromas are accented by cracked pepper and Asian spices. Sappy raspberry and blackberry flavors are firmed by tangy acidity and complemented by notes of candied lavender and allspice. Fresh, elegant and precise, finishing with excellent clarity and lingering spiciness. Matt Trevisan calls this a departure from what people might expect from his wines, "but the flavor is all there."
