90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2011

(90% viura and 10% malvasia, fermented in 100% new oak):  Light greenish-gold.  Fresh melon and nectarine aromas are deepened by smoky spices and toasty lees.  Tightly wound citrus and orchard fruit flavors flesh out with aeration, displaying deeper pit fruit and melon character while maintaining vivacity.  Leaves zesty mineral and lemon zest qualities behind on the long, smoky finish.
