Vivid yellow.  A hypnotic bouquet displays scents of candied citrus fruits, quince, anise and iodine, with suggestions of white flowers and lemongrass that build with air.  Deep, palate-staining pear skin and orange flavors show outstanding clarity and intensity, with a late note of bitter quinine adding grip.  Clings impressively on the finish, which strongly echoes the anise note and feature a suave jasmine quality.  This wine's blend of power and vivacity is something.
