Palish red.  Spicy, aromatic nose combines red cherry, cinnamon, licorice and dried flowers, with notes of marzipan and strawberry jam emerging with air.  Juicy, fruity and brisk, with sound acidity and a light touch to the strawberry and raspberry flavors.  A tad warm on the back end but very easy to drink.  This gets only 8 or 9 days of maceration, vs. 22 to 26 for Mascarello's Barolos.
