(bottled in August of 211):  Good full ruby.  Very ripe aromas of black cherry, blackberry, licorice and violet.  Large-scaled but not at all over the top, with solid but ripe acidity framing the sweet flavors of dark berries and violet.  Shows a serious tannic structure for this bottling.  "Two thousand nine is a wonderful, complete vintage, rich in all elements," noted Alex Sanchez.
