Dark red with ruby tones. Rather reduced aromas of coffee, mocha and smoky oak; dominated by its barrel influence today. Sweet and pliant on entry, then a bit disjointed in the middle, with a slight acid streak to the coffee and game flavors. Finishes with dusty tannins and good length. Will this show more fresh fruit with a few years in bottle?
