(67% chardonnay and 33% pinot noir):  Yellow-gold.  Deeply pitched aromas of pear skin, honey and toasted almond, with a touch of orange pith.  Broad and fleshy, with toasty orchard fruit and peach pit flavors that show some back-end warmth.  A round, smooth, open-knit Champagne that's fully mature; the nutty note repeats on the persistent finish.  I'd have liked more vivacity.
