(from a south-facing hill in Serralunga that could have been planted to nebbiolo):  Good deep red-ruby.  Ripe aromas of currant, coffee, mocha, licorice and minerals.  Rich and mellow, with dark currant and chocolate flavors complicated by an intriguing yeasty nuance.  At once chewy and refined.  Finishes with substantial mouthdusting tannins and a touch of anise.  There are 6,000 bottles of this juice, bottled in April of 2011.
