(grapes from Fantino's house on a hill about Morforte):  Deep, dark red.  Sour cherry and plum aromas perked up by pungent wild herbs and licorice.  Tightly wound, juicy and dry, with a strong impression of acidity giving the mid-palate a penetrating quality.  Finishes with ripe, firm tannins.  Very dolcetto, and in need of at least six more months in the bottle.
