Bright violet color.  Pungent cherry pit and blackberry on the nose, complicated by black pepper and licorice nuances.  Offers palate-staining dark fruit and bitter herb flavors lifted by juicy acidity.  Higher-pitched on the impressively persistent finish, which features sweet black raspberry and floral pastille qualities.  This looks like an excellent cellar candidate.
